High performance steel plates designed to withstand harsh natural conditions
Wind Power Steel plates
To ensure long-term stable operation in extreme environments, steel plates for wind turbines typically need to meet a series of special requirements:
High strength: In order to support the weight of the wind turbine and withstand the enormous pressure from the wind, the steel plates used in the tower must have high yield strength and tensile strength.
Good welding performance: As wind power towers are constructed by welding multiple steel plates, it is required that the steel plates have excellent welding performance.
Low temperature toughness: Especially for wind turbines installed in cold regions, the steel plates used need to have good low temperature toughness.
Corrosion resistance: It must have a certain degree of corrosion resistance or be enhanced by surface treatment (such as galvanizing, painting, etc.) to improve its corrosion resistance.
High dimensional accuracy: In order to ensure precise assembly and efficient production of tower tubes, strict requirements are placed on the thickness tolerance, flatness, and other dimensional accuracy of steel plates.
Good processability: In addition to the above characteristics, it is also required that the material is easy to cut, shape and other processing operations, in order to manufacture complex shapes that meet the design requirements.
