It is reported that the 460mm heavy slab continuous caster is not only one of the most powerful in the world, but also a new benchmark and model in the metallurgical industry. Equipped with world-advanced automation and intelligent control systems, it achieves the goals of reduced carbon emissions, lower costs, and improved product quality. The caster is capable of producing slabs with thicknesses of 460mm, 420mm, and 370mm, custom-designed for high-end applications such as offshore wind power, nuclear power steel, pressure vessels, and construction machinery, thus filling a global gap in ultra-heavy slab continuous casting technology.
